CASHIER/SALES ASSOCIATE

Must have basic math skills, be attentive to detail, have acceptable appearance and good memorization skills.  Responsible for processing sales of merchandise, maintain cash accuracy, stocking merchandise, answer telephone, take delivery orders, maintain store cleanliness and assist managers with general tasks.  Should be well versed in the art of customer service and able to learn sales skills.  Includes indoor and outdoor work in any weather conditions.  Requires standing for long periods of time.  Full time and Part time available.

OUTDOOR SALES ASSOCIATE

Give fast, pleasant service by energetically greeting customers and assisting them in any way.  Responsible for assisting managers, moving plant materials, maintaining plants (watering etc…), loading customer vehicles, maintaining grounds cleanliness and general janitorial duties.   Includes outdoor work in all weather conditions and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.    Full time and Part time available.

OUTDOOR  ASSISTANT MANAGERS

Directing outdoor sales team members with an emphasis on product knowledge, giving information and knowing related items needed to complete entire projects.  Create and maintain outdoor displays.  Must be able to identify and have knowledge of plant material and related gardening/landscaping products.   Must enforce company rules and policies, including disciplinary actions.   Good people skills, retail sales skills and leadership qualities necessary.  Also includes job task planning and organization along with supporting  the Management team.  This is a Full time position.

INDOOR  ASSISTANT MANAGERS

Directing inside cashiers/sales team members.  Includes all duties as stated above plus restocking and ordering merchandise, store inventory tracking, scheduling and enforcing company rules and policies, including disciplinary actions.   Hiring and training new sales associates.   Retail sales skills and merchandising skills a plus.  This is a full time position.

BULK LOT/DELIVERY STAFF

Vehicle maintenance and care.  Must be able to drive and operate dump and lift trucks, front end loaders, Bobcat, box truck and forklift.  MUST have valid PA drivers' license.  Medical card and/or CDL license a plus.  This position could include winter work performing snow removal.  Customer service skills and crossover to Outdoor Sales position necessary.  Full time and Part time available.

LANDSCAPE CREW FOREMAN

Must be able to lead a crew to complete installation jobs in a timely, respectable manner.  Must have valid PA drivers' license.  Must have experience with planting trees, shrubs, perennials and flowers.   Application of mulch, manure and lawn care products.  Physically demanding job requires heavy lifting.  Must follow direction of Landscape Designer and train crew members.

LANDSCAPE CREW MEMBERS

Includes planting varying plant materials, applying mulch/manure, loading/unloading equipment and completing landscape tasks as directed.  Physically demanding job requires heavy lifting  and digging.  This position could include winter work performing snow removal.

GENERAL MANAGER

Oversee ALL  aspects of Garden Center operations.  Must have at least 5 years experience, industry certifications and aspire to become an owner.  Duties include:  customer service; hire and train new employees; manage staff; maintain safe conditions for customers and staff; select inventory including plants, products and equipment; oversee plant care and facility maintenance; identify and treat diseased plants; maintain records; ensure displays are seasonally appropriate and well kept; receive inventory; create work plans; ability to effectively problem-solve and resolve customer issues.  Position requires attention to detail, organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to adapt to the fast paced environment.  Should be open to learn about financials, budgeting , HR and all other skills required to operate a successful Garden Center.
